X3 Triple Auxiliary Audio Input with X3-VWR Volkswagen Harness

The X3 System allows 3 auxiliary audio sources to be connected to the OEM radio with OEM or Aftermarket CD-Changer, Satellite Radio and DVD present. It interrupts the audio of the existing Slave Unit, switching from AUX1, AUX2, AUX3 and back to CD-Changer. The X3 System is composed of a universal brain module and a wired remote input switcher with display plus a vehicle specific wiring harness.

The X3-VWR is short for X3-system VW 1998-2003. This auxiliary audio input harness, is designed for OEM (factory) Volkswagen radios. The X3-VWR connects between the factory 8-pin connector of the radio and the CD changer cable allowing the factory CD changer to still function. The X3 (brain module) allows 3 auxiliary audio sources to be connected to OEM radio with a CD-Changer. This interface will interrupt the audio of the CD-Changer and allow an RCA auxiliary audio input to be directly connected to your factory audio system. Using the source selector from the X3 brain unit will switch from the factory CD changer to one of the three RCA auxiliary audio inputs (AUX1, AUX2 and AUX3).

Compatible with all VW 1998-2003 models except 2002-2003 double DIN AM/FM/CD/Cassette (Premium 6) radios.

The X3-VWR will install behind the radio in-series with the CD Changer/Satellite radio data cable.
