The PA11HON or PA11HON2y Acura / Honda iPod interface provides direct connection for an iPod plus an optional audio source such as satellite radio, DVD, or video game system. Both the iPod and the additional audio source can be selected from the factory radio’s front panel. The interface adapter connects the iPod to your factory Honda or Acura radio as if it were a CD changer, allowing direct selection of iPod playlists through the radio’s preset (or disc) buttons and is compatible with all iPod models featuring the dock connector, including the iPod nano and 5G iPod video.

The PA11 series iPod interfaces have two operating modes available- locked and unlocked. In locked mode the controls on the factory radio will operate the iPod only, and the iPod's click wheel will be locked out for safety while driving. In the unlocked mode the iPod's controls can still be used to navigate through the iPod's menus and select songs, artists, playlists, etc. and the factory radio controls will still provide basic navigation functions including song up/down and FF/REW functions. Both modes still charge the iPod while connected, for up to one hour to prevent over-charging.

NOTE: The PA11HON2y includes the additional cable CASHON2Y for use with vehicles equipped with factory satellite radio tuners. The CASHON2Y allows both the factory satellite tuner and the PA11HON2 iPod interface to share the same connection port on the back of the radio.
